As close as it comes

Michael Audette, the paddler who fortuitously arrived just after us at the campground in Palisade and joined us the next morning for some coffee. Mike shared some of his own story about becoming a Quaker after years in the Lutheran ministry, but his real goal was to gather stories along the Mississippi much like us, spending his days off the river with an elaborate camera rig and mobile darkroom that he managed to carry in a canoe!
